Colorado Day 2: Seven Falls

After lunch, we went hiking at Seven Falls in Colorado Springs, Colorado. We didn't know what to expect as we didn't know anybody who had actually been to Seven Falls. It did not disappoint us. The  canyon leading up to the falls is breathtaking.

Then, you walk 274 steps to get to the top....SO worth it!

Once you are at the top, there are trails for hiking.

The girls thought this tree was amazing. It has fire resistant bark and is older than the Constitution of the United States. They just HAD to touch it!

After our hike, we went to the gift shop and the kids found their souveneirs for the trip. They had been looking for the perfect keepsakes to remember our time in Colorado. Sofie got some binoculars. Lily got a bracelet made of gemstones, and Jack found a rock sculpture for his room. Everyone was happy. As for me, my treasure is the memories we made on this mountain. Well, that, and the fact that I climbed 274 steps without falling or tripping!
