Summer is officially over, and a new school year is upon us. After almost 3 months swimming, vacations, and lazy days, we are back into our normal routine.
Jack is a freshman this year at Boyd High School. He is very excited to be a Boyd Bronco and is looking forward to his classes and new opportunities in the Boyd Theater department. He and his friend, Reid, go to school together each morning and leave very early since school starts at Boyd at 7:30. I was grateful that in their excitement to get off to school, the boys let me take their picture to commemorate this milestone moment. I can't believe Jack is in high school. And though it seems athough he started Kindergarten a moment ago, Jack is more than ready for the challenges ahead. It is going to be a very exciting year!
Sofie is in third grade this year and Lily is in fifth grade. They were both excited to see their teachers on their first day and were happy about a new start at Glen Oaks Elementary. Sofie is in Mrs. Boley's class and Lily is in Mrs. Nuttal's homeroom. Since Lily is a fifth grader, she will get to rotate her classes throughout the day. She says it makes her feel "grown up".
Landon Wood lives next door, and Sofie are in the same class this year. They are pretty excited about that!
Good neighbors. Good friends. Good times.
Brylee Lackey and Lily have been best friends since Kindergarten. They are both very excited to be "seniors" at Glen Oaks aka fifth graders. Ha!
